How to Stop the Breast Pain During Breastfeeding With Cracked or Bleeding Nipples

Very often within the first months after childbirth woman who are breasting can get an infection on the breast. This infection can cause cracked or bleeding nipples.   Breastfeeding with cracked or bleeding nipples can be very painful. Try the following natural remedies to prevent breast pain.

How to stop  the breast pain during breastfeeding with cracked or bleeding nipples

Results may vary from person to person. What works for some people, does not work for others.

1.Don’t allow the child to have fun with your breasts and nipples after being fed

2.To stop breast pain gently massage your breasts during feeding.

3. Hot water can increase swelling. Clean your breast before feeding with warm water but avoid prolonged warming in showers or baths.

4. Between breastfeeding clean the nipples several times with 60% alcohol. After that moisten them with olive, almond or St.John’s Wort oil.

5. Put the compresses of fresh cabbage leaves several times daily until you heal from the infection.
Leave the cabbage in a refrigerator.
Take a few cabbage leaves from the fridge before use.
Put them on the infected breast
Replace them when they reach body temperature
Before feeding your baby clean the breasts with warm water.

6. Put the compress of fresh yarrow leaves several times daily.

7. Mix two tablespoons of flowers of yarrow and two tablespoons of flowers of chamomile with one-liter water. Apply the tea on the infected area using a cotton ball for 20 minutes six or seven times every day. Rinse it off with warm water.  Drink this tea several times daily.

8. Prepare a mix with 50gr  apple cider vinegar and 100 gr warm water. Apply this mix on the breast using a cotton ball for 15 minutes several times daily. Rinse it off with warm water.

9. Eat food reach in  Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin C.
