“Stuff your eyes with wonder. Live as if you would drop in ten seconds. See the world. It is more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” – Ray Bradbury
It has been said that the best way to travel is to enter the experience with abandon.
In this regard, any travel plans or itineraries you have should be tossed right out of the window in favor of spontaneity and unpredictability. Unfortunately, this sort of behavior is a luxury reserved for those who can be in a country more than once in their lifetimes or are at least not limited by time constraints. Otherwise, travel itineraries are essential to ensuring that you can make the most out of the limited time of your vacation. However, do not get me wrong. There are some merits to injecting a bit of spontaneity to your travel plans but injecting a semblance of a concrete plan for your trip will help you enjoy your vacation better. While no one is telling you to pencil down a plan for every minute of your vacation day, this is not to say that you should just forget about creating a travel itinerary altogether.
Unfortunately, most travelers treat creating travel itineraries with dismissive regard and may even overlook the essence of it entirely. For many, it is an entirely trivial task to do before traveling. However, it is high time that this oversight is addressed and corrected. A customized travel itinerary can prove to be very useful as it will contain every piece of information you might need for your trip. It also makes you anticipate your upcoming trip even more and hypes you up as you add more items to your itinerary. More importantly, it gives you more time to explore and relax rather than stress about figuring out what to do next on your trip.
So, whether you are simply making a list of where to go in tagaytay or planning for a more elaborate trip, here are some of the compelling reasons why you should have a travel itinerary:
1.) You will not miss out on anything
Creating an itinerary will compel you to make the necessary research ahead of time. After all, you need to pepper it with stuff to do so you might as well do as much research as you can about the place you are visiting. In this regard, you want to be sure that you can see everything you came to see. Armed with your research, you will be able to plot days scheduled for tours or align your trip with a particular festival or exhibit that might happen in town. All of these would not have been brought to your attention had you not decided to create an itinerary.
2.) You will be able to track where you are staying
One of the most important things to keep in mind while traveling is to stay organized. Furnishing yourself with a travel itinerary can significantly help you with this. Typically, your itinerary would already contain all of the valuable information you need for your trip which would include important emails, confirmation numbers, and important emails. As soon as you arrive at your destination, you would not need to fish for these documents in your bag as you would already have all of them ready with you.
3.) It helps with the packing
With a tentative plan of the places and activities you wish to visit and participate in, you would be able to get a good sense of what you need to have in order to facilitate an efficient packing. You would no longer need to guess how many pairs of shoes you would need or how many coats the trip might call for. More importantly, it helps you envision what you are going to wear each day instead of having to pack clothes in your bags for you to use at random each day.
4.) You will be able to take more recommendations
Before traveling, it is best to consult with people who have already visited the place before. Note their experiences and ask them what the highlights of their trip were. From there, you can then decide whether or not to add them to your own travel itinerary. While you do not necessarily need them for your trip, their recommendations might come in handy should you ever need a place near marketplace bgc , eat a quick lunch or a good place for pizza.
