The liver has over 400 functions in your body, so it is normal to experience symptoms all over the body when the functions of this one organ are impaired. Weight gain, pain in your right side, headaches, fatigue, indigestion, and skin discoloration are common symptoms that can occur if you don’t flush toxins from the liver and it is overwhelmed.
There are a number of ways you can naturally flush toxins from your liver.
Here is a list of few things to consider:
1. Alcohol will Make It Worse
They may sell you more than a few benefits about red wine, but you have to know that alcohol is bad for your liver, even the kind that hides behind the taste of sweet wine. When you consume a lot of alcohol, your liver works extra hard to get rid of the content and purify your blood, hence using up your metabolic energy and leaving you tired and sleepy.
Over time, alcohol may completely destroy your liver, so while flushing toxins out of this organ, make sure you are not undoing your own efforts by drinking alcohol.

2. And quit smoking too, it may be just as harmful to your liver

3. Drink More Water
Your liver likes to stay clean, maybe even more than you do. How do you keep it clean, you ask? Simple; drink fresh, preferable alkalizing water (just squeeze in some citrus fruits like lemon to make it so). Water from a healthy source contains a lot of natural minerals that help to flush toxins from the liver and keep your blood at optimal pH levels.
4. Keep your Diet Healthy
Try and stick to organic fresh foods like leafy green vegetables. Genetically grown foods may contain pesticides and other toxins that may harm your liver, so in as much as organic might be expensive, it is worth it for the sake of your health. Citrus fruits, avocados, beets, green tea, and asparagus are just some of the foods that will help to detoxify the liver.
5. Eat more Potassium to Flush Toxins from the Liver
The daily recommended potassium intake is 4,700 milligrams. This mineral is important for cleansing your liver as well as lowering systolic blood pressure. Foods like sweet potatoes, bananas, and beans are rich in potassium.
6. Raw Vegetable Juice
Brussel sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower are great for cleansing the liver. The taste of these might not be to your liking, so try adding some carrots, cucumber, and beets. The carrot, ginger, orange juice is a favorite among a lot of people, but you can try experimenting with different flavors like mint and parsley and find what works for you, even if it is greens.
There will always be toxins in your body, and that is why the liver is there, but this organ can only protect you from so much. This is why it is important to minimize your intake of the toxins that you can actually control. There are organic drinks you can make to flush toxins from the liver, but it will serve you better to stop ingesting these toxins or at least minimize your exposure to them.
