Which are the most common reasons for getting acne?
There too many different reasons for getting acne. No one is quite sure what causes them. Experts believe that the primary cause of acne is the increase in the level of androgen (a kind of hormone).
Teenagers are the most affected group because hormones play a significant role in creating of acne. While the teenage ones are gone with adolescence for many people, acne is not only a transient problem.
Hormonal changes that occur as a result of pregnancy, menstrual cycle, commencement and cessation of taking a contraceptive pill for women increase the chances of acne.
Besides hormones, pimples can also appear due to increased secretion of sebum, bacteria, receive certain medications (lithium), the use of strong cosmetics and diseases such as polycystic ovarian syndrome. If your parents suffered from acne, it is very likely that you face this problem, i.e. acne is hereditary. Contrary to widespread opinion, the scientific evidence suggests that greasy foods and chocolate have little impact on acne. Poor hygiene also doesn’t cause them.
How to care for your skin if you are prone to acne
The purpose of the care of skin prone to acne is to heal existing ones, avoid the creation of new and prevent the appearance of scars and blemishes.
1.Wash your skin twice per day
Use warm water and a mild soap made especially for skin with acne. Washing removes excess grease from the face and dead skin cells. But if you wash too often, it can cause irritation and excessive secretion of sebum, which is the main ally of acne.
2.Use appropriate cosmetic products to treat acne
Troubled skin needs proper care and use of cosmetics for skin with skin inflammation. Use cosmetics which contains salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.
3. Do not try to squeeze acne
It’s hard to follow this rules because it can be awkward to walk around with acne. However, pressing of pimples can lead to the creation of scars which can hardly disappear, as well as spreading of bacteria.
4.Drink enough water
Water will help to expel toxins from the body and ease the problem of pimples. Eight glasses of water a day is enough.
5.Eat foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E, and zinc.
They all help to maintain a good looking skin.
6.Take a shower immediately after exercise
Sweat can trap dirt and bacteria in the pores of the skin and thus cause skin inflammation.
7.Wash towels and pillowcases often
Bacteria on the towels and covers can aggravate acne. Replace the jacket for a pillow every other day. Keep your hair away from your face. If you have oily hair, rinse it every day and do not let it touch your face.
8.Wear loose cotton clothing
Acne on the back and neck is caused by wearing tight clothing. Select loose clothing made of cotton to allow the skin to breathe freely.
9.Protect your skin from the sun
Although sunlight can instantly improve skin condition, they bring only short-term results. Sometime after sun exposure acne become a bigger problem than they were before. Some people avoid sun creams, precisely because they cause acne. The truth is that some creams aggravate skin inflammation, so it is necessary to find a suitable product that will avoid this.
10.When talking on the phone that is not yours, never touch it to your face
11.Keep your hands clean by regular washing
Before touching your face, or before applying the lotion, cream or makeup always wash your hands. If you wear spectacles, try to clean them regularly so they can’t collect sebum and skin residue.
12. Do not go to bed with makeup
Avoid makeup and protective creams that are oily. Use wet creams.
13. If you shave, do it carefully
Use an electric shaver or safety razors. Use a sharp blade. Soften your skin and beard with hot soapy water before shaving.
14.Sleep enough
Your skin needs rest to regenerate.
15.Relieve stress
Your skin reflects your overall health and wellness.
16.Exercise and keep fit
It improves oxygenation of the skin.
Home Remedies For Acne
Results may vary from person to person. What works for some people, does not work for others.
Recipes with Garlic:
These home recipes may help you to get rid of acne. Grind one clove garlic and pour it with 100 ml. 65% alcohol, leave overnight, strain the liquid through a sieve and store in a sterilized dark glass bottle to use. With cotton wool apply to the places affected by acne. Every day press infected areas with a cotton wool. Very soon you will notice that the skin will be clean and acne will disappear. There is another original recipe with garlic against acne. Chop one clove of garlic and put it on the acne. You can see the result after few minutes. Red area around the acne may disappear immediately. This recipe is not recommended for people with sensitive skin.
Recipes with watermelon:
Moisten your face with watermelon juice or rub it with a slice of watermelon and you’ll immediately notice refreshments. You can clean your skin naturally with slices of cold watermelon. Cut 100g. Watermelon into small pieces and allow it to release juice. Do the same with 100 g. cucumber. Mix equal quantities of the liquid obtained and you get an excellent lotion for skin with acne. The man with sensitive skin can use this lotion after shaving. The lotion will help zits and red pimples to disappear. If necessary you can disinfect your skin with alcohol.
Home Skin tonic lotion with bay leaf to get rid of acne
For this skin tonic lotion, you need ten bay leafs, one cucumber, and 250 mg water.
- Boil 250 mg water
- Remove from the heat and add the bay leafs
- Leave the mix in place for 20 minutes
- Strain the liquid through a sieve in sterilized dark glass bottle.
- Add 3-4 tablespoon cucumber juice.
- Place this mix on infected areas with a cotton wool.
- After 15 minutes wash your face.
- Apply once or twice a day
Mask of yeast
Heat one tablespoon of yeast on the steam. Gently put on the acne in the morning, noon and evening for several minutes. This may help you to get rid of them too.
Toothpaste
And for the end, I want to mention about applying toothpaste only on the affected area when you get a pimple. I suppose everyone knows about this, but I want only to remind you of this trick to remove them.

Where was this website when I was a teenager! hehe:)
But seriously – many people suffer from acne.. it’s one thing if it is just a teenager problem that usually disappears after puberty years, but it is much worse if it stays with you. I know some people who still suffer from this and it can be a real pain. It sounds amazing how much you can change by a healthy lifestyle and hygiene without even taking any medications.
