The kidneys are a pair of organs found on both sides of the spinal cord and at the upper rear of the abdominal cavity. They filter waste products from the blood and excrete them along with excess water as urine.
They affect blood pressure because they produce hormones that participate in these processes, but also in the formation of red blood cells too. Kidney malfunction can manifest some of the following symptoms: vomiting, bad breath, changed a color of urine, dizziness, itching skin, breathing problems, sudden pain, anemia, fatigue.
To keep them healthy practice the following steps:
1.Drink plenty of water
Lack of water in the body can cause kidney disease. The blood becomes so concentrated that affects the normal circulation. The kidney’s ability to eliminate toxins from the body is restrained too, so their accumulation in the body may be a consequence of the disease. But in this case, the rule “the more- the better” doesn’t work.
Drink about two liters of water daily-excessive amounts of fluids can trigger kidney’s failure too.
2. Do not hold urination
This is one of the most common causes of kidney disease because bacteria in the urine can cause urinary retention.
3. Leave the cigarettes
This bad habit raises blood pressure and reduces blood flow restricting blood vessels in the kidneys.
4.Decrease salt intake
The kidneys process 95% of the sodium found in food. Excessive amounts of salt make their work extremely difficult. The decreased kidney function, as a result, causes reduced renal function as well. The body begins to retain water and blood pressure rise.
5. Be careful with drugs, alcohol, and coffee
In short, everything that enters the body passes through the kidneys and gradually breaks down, disrupting their structure and their function. Long-term use of painkillers may reduce the blood flow and prevent kidney function. Significant amounts of caffeine raise the blood pressure, including the one in the kidneys and can result in kidney damage. Alcohol is also very stressful for the kidneys and consuming it in excessive amount can destroy them. Your aim is to keep them healthy. If you have any problems, you have to start a cleansing treatment.
Since kidneys are most active in the winter, kidney’s cleansing treatments are most efficient then.
Treatments against kidney stones
1.Remove causes that produce kidney stones. Change your diet to enable organs to remove unwanted waste, minerals and excess waters from the blood as urine.
2.Apply natural remedies that are available to you.
Home Remedies For Kidney Stones
Results may vary from person to person. What works for some people, does not work for others.
Effective diuretic mixes
1.Put two tablespoonfuls of chopped briar root in cold water. Boil 15 minutes. Cool, strain and divide in three parts. Drink one part of the tea three times a day during the week – two.
2.Pour one teaspoon flax seed in a cup of boiling water and boil until it gets thick. Drink the mix every two hours for two days. Because this mixture is quite thick, water it down right before consuming. If you do not like the taste, you can add lemon juice.
3.Oats seeds regulate the blood sugar level and stimulate the work of the gastrointestinal tract. Mix one cup of oats (well washed) with 5-6 cups of boiling water and then cook on low heat (watch for overflowing) 50-60 minutes. Strain and drink as much as you can every day until you have flushed out the kidney stones.
4.Put three tablespoonfuls of chopped marshmallow root (slices not bigger than 3 mm) in a container with 100 milliliters of water. Close the container well and heat it in boiling water for 15 minutes, let it cool for 10 minutes and then strain.
Take one teaspoonful every four hours.
